The Transit of Mercury - 9/5/16
One of those rare celestial events will occur on Monday 9th May, the transit of Mercury. We are in a fortunate position to watch the whole of the transit this time round. It will start at 12:12pm and end 7:42pm. Due to the size of Mercury it will look very small against the face of the Sun. If you do plan to see the transit you will need either a solarscope or telescope that has been specially adapted to view the Sun. We can stress enough that you must not look directly at the Sun.
The club will only be open to members for the transit.
