Norwich Astro and a Pint of Science

For the Norwich Science Festival we collaborated with the Norwich Pint of Science organiser to run the very first "Atoms to Galaxies" event in the Forum.

After the introduction, Mark Thompson gave a shortened version of his "Big Band to a Pint of Beer" talk, Dave Cook gave his talk on the scale of the Universe (and answered some tough questions from the audience on gravitational waves).

Following a short break we held a 13 question quiz, based on images by Shaun Reynolds and Chris Grimmer.

Congrats to Tulaine Kent for coming joint first with the Fat Cat Tap in the quiz!

Traditionally there has been no astro element of Pint of Science in Norwich, hopefully we will build on this when Pint returns in May 2018.

Huge thanks to PhD student Sophie Prosolek from the Quadram Institute for organising and getting 60 bookings!
