The Webb telescope in Space (10th Dec 2021)

Start time: 19:30

Location: Seething Observatory

Host: Andrew Sutkowski / Roger Preece

By the time of this presentation takes place the largest space telescope ever launched into space should be well on its way towards beginning to reveal further secrets of the Universe. Looking out at deep space from its Lagrange L2 orbit at one million kms from Earth, the telescope will use its infrared based system to look further back into the past than has been done before and to discover possible exoplanets with signatures for possible life in their atmospheres.
