The Christmas Star with Mark Thompson
The Star of Bethlehem is one of the most well known stories that has passed down through the generations. It tells of the appearance of a star that led the wise men to Bethlehem and to the stables where baby Jesus was born.
A well known story but one that does not have much evidence to support it. Mark Thompson, from BBC Stargazing Live and the Spectacular Science Show picks through the story to identify the facts and looks to the sky to reveal the astronomical events that may well be behind the story.
