James Webb telescope – the launch and what happened next

NAS Zoom Online Open presentation – Friday 28 January 2022 at 7:45 PM

This presentation covers a number of key moments during the Ariane 5 launch and the subsequent release of the telescope. Our previous presentation in December 2021 also highlighted some of the crucial next steps in the unpacking and unfolding of the telescope. Now, using video footage, we can see how the Space Science Institute team has managed these tasks, right up until the present date. We also discuss what still has to be done before the first eagerly awaited images can be sent back to Earth.

As usual, this Zoom online presentation is free of charge. Please click below to reserve a ticket.
