Dr. Helen Mason Visited Seething

Dr. Helen Mason gave a superb talk on "Our Active Sun" to the members at Seething.

Helen's field of research is solar physics, in particular the ultraviolet and X-ray spectrum of the Sun.

"Always happy to talk about the Sun. I've been working with solar space misisions, SoHO, SDO, Hinode and IRIS, in particular spectroscopic observations. So would be happy to tell your members what we have learnt about 'The Active Sun' or 'Our Dynamic Sun' ie solar active regions, solar jets and flares."

An excellent and informative talk to a packed clubhouse. Dr. Helen answered a wide range of questions from our members at this the final members talk of 2016!

Dr. Helen's website is called Suntrek and worth a visit!
