Dr. Matt Taylor visited Seething

It had taken 16 months from the initial #askRosetta Twitter Chat, but on Friday April 29th, Chairman Andy Gardiner was able to stand at the front of a packed (standing room only) clubhouse and introduce Dr. Matt Taylor, Astrophysicist and Project Scientist from the European Space Agency's Rosetta Mission. A special additional event for the members, Dr. Matt gave an hour long talk, providing insights and stunning images from the Rosetta Mission.
After the talk Dr. Matt answered questions and was presented with a cartoon, drawn by the talented Mike Doddington, before joining his wife and two teenage children in viewing the night sky with Chris Grimmer and Dave Provan.

We are working to host Dr. Matt again, in the summer, but this time from central Norwich to make the talk accessible to more people (we could not squeeze anymore into our clubhouse) and to those who rely on public transport.

Thanks to Chris Grimmer for acting as 'Chief Paparazzi' and for Mike Doddington for drawing such a great cartoon.

For those of you in the Beccles and Bungay area, I'm told we should get an article and few photos in that newspaper, so please keep your eye out.
