2016 Children's Event (27th Feb 2016)

Location: Seething

This event is especially catered for children and held at the observatory. Doors open from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. There will be activities throughout the day for children can participant in, view the observatory during the day and view the night skies when it gets dark.

This is a mainly outdoor event and visitors should dress for the cold. Also, be warned, the site is muddy in places due the constant wet weather. 

Please note the Children's Event has been extended to a 7pm finish as sunset is around 5:25 and the skies will not get dark till after 6pm. This will give everyone an opportunity to look through the telescopes and attend a guided tour of the night sky weather permitting.

Viewing through telescopes - solarscopes during the day and telescopes in the evening, weather permitting.

Guided tour of the night sky - weather permitting.

Find out how it feels to walk on the moon and partake in many other activities.

Admission: £2 for each child. Adults go free when accompanied by a responsible child.

Refreshments will be available all day. We also have the vendor, the Flying Chef, selling their delicious hot dogs.
